Brief History
Gabriel is the first cousin of Antoinette Giry, on her fathers side of the family. He grew up in Villefranche Sue Mer, Nice in the South of France. From first observation, Gabriel may seem a relatively normal gentleman of his class and upbringing – but he holds a dark secret that still haunts him to this very day.
One night when he was a boy he sneaked out of his house in the middle of the night and into the forest. There, he heard something in the trees and came across a large dog like creature that chased him deep into the forest and attacked him, leaving bites and scratches all over his body. The next morning he awoke, and while weary and in pain he found the strength to return home.
Soon after this he began to notice changes in himself physically and mentally speaking. He found he had grown stronger, and faster than before and certainly more aggressive in his temperament. It is revealed to him by an unknown source that he had been infected with the ‘curse of the werewolf’, and on his first full moon as a wolf he transformed and attacked and killed his entire family. Stricken with grief upon the discovery of their corpses the following morning, he had to flee to Paris, where he lived for some time with his cousin.
He is often burdened everyday with the guilt of harming his family. He is now married happily with his wife Anita Sorelli, but is still sometimes troubled by his past and often fears that it will one day come back to claim him.
Character Personality
Gabriel is a quite, pensive sort of man, who does not say much but when he does it is to say something meaningful. He is a loyal, and trustworthy friend and those who have confided in him can never deny his loyalty to them.
