Brief History

Born a year after her elder sister, Julia was the child that Euphémie and Rodolphe Perrault thought that they would never had, when it was found that Euphémie had a condition that prevented her having children to full term. After discovering Lillian and adopting her, the couple resolved to dedicating their lives to her welfare, yet only one year later they were wholly blessed when Euphémie gave birth to a baby girl.

As a child, Julia was always wilder than her sister, preferring to run about in the outdoors, her skirts hitched to her knee rather than tending to her embroidery or playing the piano. It was clear from a young age therefore that she would grow to be a stubborn and outspoken young woman. This wild behaviour sparked a mortification in her devoutly Catholic father who feared that she was heading toward a life of ruin, and so when she was just twelve years old, he sent her to Convent School in the neighbouring province. There she was to learn manners and how to comport herself in society, but by the time she was eighteen years old it became apparent that there was no taming this free-spirited woman. After the death of her parents, Julia took up residence with her sister and her husband where she begins to work toward her intentions of expressing her views on the freedom and equality of women.

Character Personality

At first meeting, Julia may come across as a difficult and arrogant individual who seems to find fault in much around her, but this is merely a product of her temprement, which often compels her to rebel against those who would try to confine her and shape her views. She is an independent woman, who is not afraid to break the laws and conventions of society, no matter how much it causes her to be talked about. Behind her shrewd demeanour however, is a kind and loving girl who is deeply connected to her world and those around her, who will fight to the death to save those whom she loves.
